How many students and staff members does Mestral have?
Currently, we have about 800 students and 80 staff members.
What official exams do students take at school?
At Mestral, we prepare our students for the official Spanish University Access Examinations (PBAU) and offer internationally-recognised language certifications achievable by official examinations - Cambridge ESOL for English and Goethe-Institut for German.
In addition, Baccalaureate students at our school can study a Dual Diploma, which offers them the possibility of obtaining an American High School Diploma alongside the Spanish Diploma. This provides an excellent qualification to apply for colleges in the United States.
My child has to take medication. How can the school support me on this?

Admission and Payments
I want my child to study at this school. What should I do?

How do I know the year/grade I should enrol my child in?
Our school years are based on the child's year of birth. We will be happy to provide more details and clarifications to ensure you feel confident when applying to a specific academic stage.
Is there a registration period?
For P3 Nursery , registration for September takes place in January and February of the previous academic year.
For the rest of the year groups, there is no closing date. You can enrol your child throughout the year as long as there are places available. Please note that there is a waiting list for some academic stages, namely Nursery and Primary.

Will I receive a receipt for payments?
After payment, you will receive an email with the payment receipt.
School Schedule
What are the school hours?
The reception is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Nursery and Primary hours are Monday to Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and from 2:50 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The schedule for the Secondary and first year of Baccalaureate is Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The timetable for students attending the second year of the Baccalaureate is Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Can I pick up my child before dismissal time?
Yes, with prior notice to the school and their tutor.
I'm late to pick up my child. What do I do?
Please notify the school as soon as possible.
I'm late to pick up my child from their extracurricular activities. What do I do?
Please notify the school as soon as possible.
Can someone else pick up my child from school?
Yes, if you send us a written authorisation in advance with the ID of the person(s) who is going to pick up your child.
School Uniform Shop
What are the Shop hours?
The shop is open twice a week - Monday and Friday, from 8:45 to 10:00 am.
For parents with limited time, uniforms can be ordered online up to 24 hours before the store hours and can be collected in-store on Mondays or Fridays between 8:45 and 10:00.
How can I pay in-store?
You can pay by Credit Card, Bank Transfer, or Direct Debit with a receipt at the end of the month.
I have to buy the uniform but I don't have much time. What can I do?
Through the website, you can complete the uniform request form with the specific items you need. Then, the shop staff will have it ready in advance for you to collect at the school.
Canteen Service
Who can use the school dining hall?
Nursery and Primary students only.
What are the lunch hours?
From 12:45pm to 2:45pm from Monday to Friday.
My child never uses the canteen service, but today I need him/her to have lunch there. What do I need to do?
From the school app, there is an option to "request dining room". It is important to do it before 10:00 a.m. on the same day at the latest because we must notify the kitchen in advance.
My child has a food intolerance or allergy, but I would like him/her to use the canteen service. What should I do?
We cater for allergies and intolerances. Please contact the school and we will inform you of the steps to follow.
My child arrived late but needs to use the canteen service. What do I do?
Please notify their tutor and the school as soon as possible, so we can let the kitchen know.
