Mestral's extensive school facilities include exceptional classrooms and labs for academics, sciences, technology, and robotics. Arts & Creativity Areas

At Mestral, Performing Arts play a key role in our students’ education. Learners use our school's auditorium for performances and presentations and enjoy dance and drama lessons in purpose-built studios with mirrors. These studios support the learning of renowned dance and theatre techniques and styles, as well as the development of free bodily expression. Moreover, our students refine their visual and creative arts skills in Visual Arts and Technical Drawing lessons, as well as Arts and Crafts workshops.

Creativity, critical and logical thinking, and communication skills are developed from an early age, from playing chess on our giant-sized chess board to debating and public speaking in a purpose-built speech and debate room. We also have a unique circular meeting area in our playground called Agora, which is used for debates or outdoor classes.

Sports Facilities

Sports are essential to our educational project, and students have extensive opportunities to develop their physical and technical skills in various sports at Mestral. In addition to a large, fully-equipped multi-sports pavilion featuring climbing ropes and a climbing wall, there are also two smaller outdoor sports fields for football and basketball, ping pong tables, one large sports field for multi-sports practice, and a purpose-designed psychomotricity room for younger children. Furthermore, taking advantage of exceptional nearby municipal sports facilities, our Nursery and Primary pupils benefit from swimming lessons as part of their Physical Education curriculum.

Science & Technology

Mestral offers a biology lab equipped with microscopes, as well as a physics and chemistry lab for chemical experiments. These facilities have recently been renovated and fully equipped with new resources. Starting from primary school, students regularly use the labs to conduct science experiments.

With our one-to-one iPad programme, most lessons use this tool to enhance learning. Taking advantage of our recently renovated ICT, technology, and robotics classrooms, students learn how to code and explore cutting-edge tools, including robots, 3D printing, and drones, developing essential skills for future careers in IT-related fields and beyond.

Separate Kindergarten & Primary Facilities

Children develop better and are happier if they have access to separate spaces and environments from older students, where they feel safe, ready to learn and thrive. They are the only groups benefiting from our Multi-Sensory classroom experience and have exclusive access to our school kitchen and dining hall facilities, ensuring they enjoy wholesome, healthy home-cooked meals every day.

Nursery facilities include colourful, fully equipped classrooms and an exclusive playground area. There’s also a psychomotor room for young children to develop their motor skills, including a sleeping corner for nap time. Another playground area for older Nursery students, offering extensive opportunities for exploration and play, is shared with Primary students to support the transition to Year 1. Moreover, Primary learners have access to spacious, fully equipped classrooms with technology resources designed to promote collaboration between peers.

Multi-Sensory Stimulation Room

Our younger students have access to our exclusive, purpose-designed Multi-Sensory Stimulation Classroom. Inspired by the Snoezelen Concept, a globally recognised and effective methodology, this room features visual, light, and tactile stimuli, along with high-tech resources in a secure and relaxing environment. In this holistic and enriching space, children can explore and engage in various sensory, creative, and interactive experiences.

This enhances their cognitive (including decision-making and problem-solving skills), physical (both fine and gross motor skills), emotional, creative, and relational development, as well as their ability to focus, leading to outstanding learning outcomes. Sessions in this classroom are truly enjoyable, fostering self-confidence, emotional regulation, and well-being, while enabling our team to better understand and cater to each child's individual needs, supporting their journey towards future success.

Exceptional Common Areas

Students and staff enjoy wide hallways and outdoor spaces throughout the school, full of sitting and quiet study areas, as well as a school bar/cafeteria for the entire community. Learners also benefit from extensive leisure areas to make the most of the outdoors, including access to a nearby zipline playground for special outings, and a swimming pool for Physical Education lessons. Additionally, we offer convenient car parks for easy pick-up and drop-offs.
