No.1 Academic Results in the PBAU Exams in the Balearic Islands

Mestral is proud to announce that our students have achieved outstanding results in the University Entrance Examinations (PBAU) 2024. Our graduates obtained the best results among the 89 centres in the Balearic Islands and hence, for the third consecutive year, our school has ranked first in the archipelago.

These excellent results were achieved with 91% of our graduating class participating in the exam and of this, 100% have been approved. Our graduates obtained an outstanding average score of 7.376 out of 10 in the common subjects (the overall average of all subjects was 8.2 out of 10) on the exam, securing our school’s position as leader in the Balearic archipelago. 53% of our students achieved a grade of 11 or above (out of 14), while a notable 39,5% reached 12 or more. The highest recorded grade was 13.66 out of 14. Well done!

2024 PISA Results

In February 2024, our students in the final year of secondary school (4º ESO) underwent the external PISA assessment tests conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Our students excelled across all disciplines, surpassing the global OECD average, the Spanish national average, including that of the top-performing Spanish schools, and even countries like Finland and Japan. These tests measure students' competencies in reading, mathematics, and science, allowing us to compare our results with those of other schools in Spain and internationally.

Celebrating Individual Achievements

We are also extremely pleased to share that our student Lucía C.A. achieved the highest score in Ibiza and Formentera in the university entrance exam in 2023, with an impressive score of 9.8. Congratulations!
