A Guidance Department to Ensure All Students Can Thrive

A Guidance Department to Ensure All Students Can Thrive

Our school offers a guidance department that collaborates with tutors and teachers to address the educational needs of our students throughout the academic year.

This department is responsible for conducting periodic psycho-pedagogical assessments of students to detect any difficulties in the learning process or identify particularly talented students. Afterwards, our team will develop a customised study plan to meet the specific needs of each student.

Our guidance team also works closely with tutors to support students in choosing their Baccalaureate subject and course options with their future university degrees and aspiring careers in mind.

Enhancing Student Success with Excellent Tutoring

Enhancing Student Success with Excellent Tutoring

At Mestral, tutoring plays a fundamental role in the learning process. Its focus is on supporting and monitoring students at each educational stage, from Nursery to the Baccalaureate years.

Tutors maintain regular contact with families from the beginning of the school year through email, phone, or individual meetings. Additionally, the school employs communication platforms such as ISAMS and the Mestral school app to support our tutors' efforts.

Mestral tutors also benefit from the support provided by the school's guidance department. The collaborative efforts of tutors and professionals in this team result in personalised attention to students' educational needs, allowing us to identify, assess, and prevent learning difficulties from day one.

Exceptional University & Careers Counselling

Exceptional University & Careers Counselling

From their final year of Secondary Education (ESO) onwards, students receive personalised support from our guidance department. This includes personal interviews and assessments to help them choose Baccalaureate course options that align with their interests, skills, university aspirations, and career goals, ensuring they select the most suitable path.

In their final Baccalaureate year, students receive continuous support to prepare for university entrance exams (PBAU) and the application process. At this stage, they undergo assessments focused on specific career choices to inform their university course decisions and attend university presentations on campus and at specialised fairs.

Our Nursery and Primary school children benefit from a dedicated guidance service that supports their academic progress and personal well-being at this early stage, ensuring they have the tools they need to thrive in their education and beyond. Secondary and high school students have access to a school psychologist who oversees their overall well-being, guiding and assisting them as needed.
